World largest documentary film festival - IDFA – based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, continues it' activity.
The IDFA Bertha Fund is now accepting submissions for IBF Classic, the flagship grant program that supports documentary projects in development or (post-production) with up to €7,500 and €25,000 per project respectively. Additionally, selected filmmakers will receive tailored support from IDFA’s Filmmaker Support department and opportunities for connecting with IDFA’s professional network year-round. The submission deadline is June 10, 2023.
For this funding scheme, the Fund looks forward to receiving a new slate of creative documentary projects that use a strong visual approach to tell compelling stories and have the potential to reach a global audience. Documentary projects must be from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, or the Caribbean to be considered (see the IBF Classic Country List).
Eligible filmmakers can submit their documentary project in one of two categories:
Project Development Support (maximum contribution €7,500 per project) Production &
Post-production Support (maximum contribution €25,000 per project)
