After an outstanding 2023, which saw 15,820 badgeholders (a 19% increase compared to 2022) and 102 countries represented, the Festival is still growing as 4 additional theatres will be used at Pathé Annecy and there will be screenings bright and early at 8:30 am in Bonlieu.

This year’s selection was a challenging one, given the sheer quality of the films in the line-up! Out of a hundred films submitted, Marcel Jean revealed 23 feature films in the Official Selection.

There is even The Most Precious of Cargoes by Michel Hazanavicius on the screen!

Once upon a time there was a poor lumberjack and his wife who lived in a deep Polish forest. The poor woman moaned that she had no children. Day and night, trains passed through the woods. We also pay special attention at Rock Bottom  based on the music and life of Robert Wyatt and Alfreda Benge,

a story of the self-destructive love of this young couple, immersed in the groundbreaking turmoil of hippie culture. A passionate Balearic summer turns nightmarish in a journey through Wyatt's musical themes: the euphoria and anguish of artistic creation, the unconscious fascination with drugs, the disenchantment of routine and physical and mental degradation. The debut film by Spanish director María Trénor.
