DocsBARCELONA 2024

     The international documentary festival DocsBarcelona is a a global project based solely on ‘the documentary’. While its principal purpose is to screen a range of nationally and internationally made documentaries, it also offers a professional market, distribution brand, exhibition network and courses for documentary filmmakers.

      Spanish documentary art always based on psychological nuances and emotional power, the historical and observational films often  offer flights of fantasy.

This year’s official selection features films such as Rosine Mbakam’s Mamvar Pierrette, Patricia Franquesa’s My Sextortion Diary, Sissel Morell Dargis’ Balomania, Adria Silvestre’s May Your Will be Done, and Laura Plancarte’s Mexican Dream. Films will be shown at a variety of locations across the city including Cinemes Girona, Sala Phenomena, the CCCB, and Cinemes Renoir Floridablanca.
