IDFA 2022: the winners

IDFA always gives the opportunity to see the marvelous landscape of modern documentaries and to face the complexity of the world.

The winning genre is cinema novel (see in the article in Analytics).

Orwa Nyrabia, IDFA Creative Director considers this year’s programme as “united only by originality” and adds: “…through the subjectivities of the filmmakers an image of a world in pain emerges—a humanity that is trying hard, that is vulnerable and sincere, that is complex and persistent.”
